About Jorjia Art
Jorjia Art is an independent contemporary art gallery based in Berlin, dedicated to the international presentation of Georgian art and the promotion of distinctive artistic voices.
Rooted in Georgia’s rich artistic heritage, the gallery explores the relationship between historical traditions and contemporary expression. Its curatorial approach brings together artists whose individual practices engage with painting, spatial perception, materiality, and the cultural experience of a changing society.
Inspired by the legacy of Georgian modernism, Jorjia Art seeks to establish a dialogue between the country’s artistic history and the perspectives of contemporary artists.
Rather than approaching Georgian art as a unified stylistic movement, the gallery highlights the diversity of its artistic positions and the individual visual languages through which its artists interpret their cultural and personal environments.
The gallery’s curatorial concept has received institutional support from the David Kakabadze Fine Art Gallery in Kutaisi, reflecting a shared interest in strengthening the international visibility of Georgian art and its artists. Jorjia Art operates independently from Berlin and develops its own exhibition programme and international representation activities.
