BIOGRAPHY

Levan Tsutskiridze (1926–2021) was a Georgian painter, illustrator, and fresco artist, whose work bridges traditional Georgian art and modern expression.
Educated at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, he became renowned for reinterpretations of national narratives, including designs for The Knight in the Panther’s Skin.

Tsutskiridze’s oeuvre spans painting, graphic arts, and monumental frescoes, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to heritage, myth, and visual storytelling.
His work reflects a dialogue between past and present, fusing classical influences with contemporary perspectives.
